Mission: Burlington Poetry is to function like an online poetry journal, except with more frequent updates. The goal is to network Burlington area poets either looking to expand their expression location, or looking to express themselves for the first time in a public place. Exceptional poems from anywhere else may also find a home here. Any sub-genre of poetry is accepted including, but certainly not limited to: formal poetry, open verse, free verse, prose poetry, concrete poetry, and web poetry.
Selections: The first few posts will include selections from my own work and a smattering of poems from medieval to yesterday that I feel particularly drawn to. I will begin to include poems from peers of mine from various poetry workshops and readings over the years. I will also, as time goes on, offer poetry selections from tutors of mine of particular influence.
Being fairly academic in nature, I will offer points of interest or interpretations to some of the poems that I include. I will never offer comments on submitted poetry without the express consent of the author, nor will I ever offer comments on my own poetry (vanity must have its limits).
